What is spiritual shame?
For me, it was something I experienced all of my life but could never quite put my finger on. I wondered why I didn’t get other kids jokes, why I didn’t feel like I belonged, amongst many other things.
I remember getting made fun of at school. I told a group of kids I loved them. I meant what I said and it came from the purist possible place. They all laughed at me and made it about this one kid. I shut it down and began to live life from that pretend place that many of us go when we realize the world really can’t handle our love and pure heart.
From the time I can remember I felt a deep sense of love and spirit that worked together. It didn’t seem to match this world and I suffered because of it.
Finally, my soul decided I couldn’t live this way and began to open up my channelling. It was a big process and at times the shame I had been protecting myself from (along with pain) was too much. Slowly, I worked my way through the trauma I had experienced all of my life. I became the spiritual person I was always meant to be.
Above is the video version of this post. In it, I talk a little more in depth about this spiritual shame and then turn it over to Raina and let her channel about it. I hope you enjoy the greatest gift I ever received. The gift of channelling by overcoming spiritual shame.
