Intuition is the only instinct a human being has. You are a learned species. Intuition is the assistant in your learning process. Where is comes from is an alignment you have with the higher mind and your higher self.

Initially this is a survival and learning mechanism. When you are pre-verbal much of what you learn is mimicked and taught to you through spirit. As you age, you begin to forget this process. There are still moments and times it comes back in. You rely heavily on your adults and reality around you once you are linked in with the earth’s language and habits.

Still, your higher self walks with you. Even when you do not notice or choose to ignore it, your intuition is a reminder of the limitless reality you originated from. Intuition is stronger when you choose conscious alignment. When you begin to directly work with your spirituality and your higher self. Before that, they will come in at times you need them or when you are more open to experience spirit. Your experiences will guide you largely through intuition until you decide that it is worth continuing to listen to or seek out.

There is a lower type of intuition as well. Your ego helps you to navigate your world in a rational way. It too has intuition and will help you with it from a survival perspective. It will warn you of dangers or steer you in the direction of safety. You must remember that this is not the same as intuition that comes from the higher self and higher mind. It is a stepping stone that can allow you enough evidence that you reach higher. It is then that you align with your higher mind and begin to touch your higher self more regularly.

Working with meditation strengthens this bond. Just as you would go and visit a friend regularly and create a lasting relationship. The same occurs with your higher self as you listen to the quiet intuition in the background and reach back, go in meditatively to allow this reflection and blossom this ancient sacred interconnection.

Are deceased spirits and guides part of intuition?

Your intuition with your higher self is the first sacred bond necessary to make sense of any other connections. Spirit helpers and deceased loved ones are separate of the higher self connection, although your higher self will help you to connect to these other spirits. You will know because you will feel a deceased loved one or spirit in the room as an outside source. Your higher self comes from within you. It is part of you.  Your communication with them will come from above or from inside.

Creating a relationship to your higher self helps you create a gateway to these other beings. The higher self will be at that gateway and either allow a connection or deny it. You are able to connect with other beings without them but the connection will not be as deep and you will be the one discerning whether they are worthy of your communication. 

Your intuition is an extension of your higher self that reaches into your reality merging with your essence until you decide to merge as well. This creates a co-creation that furthers your soul’s growth and eventually collects the parts of you that have been healing on the earth. A wholeness is united until there is no separation between you and your higher self. It is then that intuition becomes a walking reality no longer separate from everyday life.
